Westminster is at the heart of London’s night-time and visitor economy, and licensed premises contribute a huge amount to the economy and vibrancy of the City. Westminster City Council’s Licensing Policy aims to:
- prevent crime and disorder
- protect children from harm
Westminster City Council is required to review and revise its Licensing Policy by 6 January 2021. We propose maintaining the current Licensing Policy approach where we can. A consultation will run from Monday 12 October to Sunday 15 November 2020. Businesses in Westminster are invited to join an online Question and Answer session, hosted by Cllr Heather Acton, Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Licensing.
